Dental Services

RKM has been providing quality care to the local community since 1999. As a federally qualified health center, RKM accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance. In addition, we offer a sliding fee scale for those who qualify.

RKM Dental clinics offer preventive and basic restorative dental care.

We offer:

Dental checkups
Dental imaging/x-rays
Dental cleaning
Fluoride treatment
Teeth whitening
Dentures and partials

Here’s what to expect when you come in for a Dental Cleaning:

To keep teeth and gums healthy, you need a dental cleaning, or hygiene visit, every six months. During the visit, our dental team will assess your soft tissues, record the findings, and compare them with your last visit. Then they will remove plaque, tartar, and food particles from your teeth.

Some patients benefit from special mouth rinses, antibiotic therapy, or habit changes to reduce gum disease. Regular maintenance visits are required to keep gums healthy and strong.

A child’s checkup is different from an adult’s in that we may not take X-rays but rather look for development problems.

RKM offers medication assistance through partnerships with local pharmacies, tele-health services, an electronic health record (EHR) system with online patient portal, referrals for specialty care and on-site certified assistance counselors to help you navigate qualifying insurance programs including Medicare and Medicaid.

All RKM clinics are JCAHO Accredited Primary Care Medical Homes and provide a full range of medical, dental and behavioral health services. This means we provide safe, high quality care that treats the whole person with options to choose your provider and be involved in your own treatment plan.

Let us be your family’s choice to provide the right care, close to home.

**Covid 19 \(Coronavirus\) Update** RKM Primary Care clinics are operating as normal with the exception of Clinton Lower, Clinton Middle, Jackson Complex Health Center, and Port Allen High school sites who, until further notice by the office of the Governor, will be closed. If you are experiencing fever above 100.4, shortness of breath, or have come in contact with someone with these symptoms, please call our clinical Hotline at 1-833-520-5655. To reduce the risk of exposure to other patients and our staff, we ask that you call the hotline for an appointment before entering one of our clinics. When visiting our clinic please limit your companions to one. Thank you for your patience during this time.
