The Be-Fit and Health Wise program began the summer of 2011 as a six week program for children ages 10 to 16. The goal of the program is for the children to learn how to make healthy choices in food and activities and how what we each and how much we move affect how our bodies feel. Each year 40 to 50 pre-teens and teenagers have taken part in activities and field trips focusing on promoting healthy lifestyle choices. The program just completed its sixth year.
